Description
I am pleased to offer a vintage cup and saucer set made by Paragon, England
Stunning design of a dark pink cabbage roses, buds and leaves on a black background - likey from the 1940s
Scalloped cup and saucer shape with ornate handle and gold gilded details
The floral pattern is completely handpainted
The outer cup, cup base and cup handle and saucer are a soft pale robin's egg blue which compliments the floral pattern perfectly
Both pieces are in excellent undamaged condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, hairlines or restoration and both pass the ping/ring test of bone china perfectly
No wear to transfer and very glossy finish
Only a few pin pricks of missed black paint applied common with the dark colored backgrounds
Cup measures 2 1/8" tall at sides and 2 3/8" to top of handle and is 4 3/4" across including handle; the saucer is 5 3/8" across
Marked as shown in photo - the double warrant mark in dark pink (rare)
This lovely set would make a great addition to your collection
