    The Boswell Sisters
were a highly influential, close harmony singing trio. Real sisters, they were three gifted musicians who emerged from the jazz movement in New Orleans in the early 1900s and became icons & pioneers in music & early radio & recording with influences that extend far beyond their own time. They took the idea of jazz and did it vocally, and they did it with such blending and precision that it has not been equaled since. Many giants of the swing era worked in their orchestras, and even stood and applauded them in honor of their musicianship at the end of a session--musicians such as Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Mannie Klein, Bunny Berigan, Joe Venuti & Eddie Lang to name a few. This store contains items related to their career & personal lives, including the book "The Boswell Legacy" by Titus & Boswell Minnerly, restored & original seen & never-before-seen images, original artifacts owned by the sisters themselves, and much more.
*Current projects include: the publication of the 2nd Ed. of "The Boswell Legacy" book (which will include many more images and the complete discography), the Boswell Sisters documentary "Close Harmony" (which will include never before seen or heard Boswell Sisters pictures, films & songs from the private family collection), a production of new music from old manuscripts (written by each of the sisters), and much more.
