The purpose of this modification is to restrict the quantity of exhaust gases going to the EGR valve, in order to reduce the clogging of this valve and of the intake manifold.
This is achieved by replacing a gasket having a 32mm hole with a stainless steel gasket having a 9mm hole.
The gases thus only have 63mm2 to circulate, instead of 803mm2.
Thus the warning light does not come on, and the EGR valve is blocked at 90%.
