A very nice looking black amethyst glass spittoon or inkwell.. Holding it up to the light shows the true amethyst color shining thru. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is one tiny spot that could be from the mould process.  Could not identify the maker, could be LE Smith or Indiana Glass.
